TIME TO LOSE SOME WEIGHT :-D

Paul and I went shopping for new backpacks. The reason?...our current packs are pretty old, ~15 years and we felt for sure newer packs might serve us better...PLUS...we weighed our old backpacks--North Face--his weighed 6 pounds and mine weighed a whopping 7 pounds!! 

CERTAINLY the newer ones weigh less...right?  RIGHT!! Here is a pic of our new packs. Mine (left) weighs a freakin' 2 pounds!!! JUST 2 POUNDS!!! Nothing like dropping 5 pounds in just a couple of minutes ;-)   Paul's (right) weighs almost 3 pounds. With the tent dropping from 9 pounds (old one) to just two pounds (new one)--we've already dropped about 15 pounds total!!! YAY US!!!

Next focus for our weight-loss goal??--gotta weigh that cooking gear...
