Adventures With Family...

This year has seen many important family moments...my son's marriage and my dad's 80th birthday. I've created and dedicated a video for each event. They have been saved here for 'email' capabilities--the only way I could get them to load--so the resolution isn't so hot. BUT they were each created with much love. Enjoy!!

Dedicated to my Dad...Love you Dad!! Happy Birthday!!!

Dedicated to my son, Ben and his beautiful wife, Holly...beautiful couple with a wonderful future...

Just lost another 1.8 lbs.!!

Paul and I just got some more camping gear...Snow Peak pots/pans/plates and their coffee/wine mug--well it will be a coffee/wine mug for me :-)

They are all made out of a very strong but light-weight titanium and the lot of them comes in at 1 pound.  Our old gear of similar use weighed 2.8 lbs. 1.8 lbs loss may not sound like much BUT when you are hiking up mountains...and you have to carry your own water and food--1.8 lbs is quite a bit!!

Because the mug can get rather hot--e.g., pouring boiling water into it to make your morning coffee...it has 'hot lips' on it which consists of a yellow silicone pad. We've already tried it out--works beautifully. The pad is removable for cleaning.

Speaking of making coffee, we also purchased a Finum Teeli coffee infuser...weighs 1.3 oz. (Paul weighs EVERYTHING!!--even has it all on a spreadsheet). It works like a tea infuser...fits right inside the mug (can be stored there when hiking) and you simply put your coffee into it...let it steep for about 3 minutes and then remove it and place it atop the lid that comes along with it while you sit back and suck in all that beauty from your morning's view.

Happy Trails!!
